10 Territorial Chambers to boost your business
The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce has its own territorial network to serve and support companies and self-employed individuals in the region. In addition to its central and institutional headquarters in Barcelona, the Chamber comprises a total of 10 Territorial Chambers.
Each of these Territorial Chambers has a council made up of up to 10 electors of the corporation, appointed by the Plenary at the proposal of the Executive Committee, and based in municipalities within the territorial scope of the corresponding delegation. The President of the Chamber appoints one of the electors as President of the council of the respective Territorial Chamber. This person chairs the council of their delegation and may attend the Plenary with the right to speak but without the right to vote when invited.
This territorial representation is in accordance with Article 10 of Law 14/2002, which states that chambers may create delegations and offices within their respective territorial areas.
Counties of the Barcelona Region
The territorial scope of the Chamber covers the entire province of Barcelona, with the exception of the areas that fall under the jurisdictions of the Chambers of Manresa, Sabadell, and Terrassa.
More specifically, the Corporation’s direct area of influence includes the municipalities of Alt Penedès, Anoia, Baix Llobregat (except Olesa de Montserrat), Barcelonès, Berguedà (except Gósol), Cardona, Garraf, Maresme, Moianès (only Castellcir, Castellterçol, Sant Quirze Safaja, and Collsuspina), Osona (except Espinelves, Vidrà, and Viladrau), and Vallès Oriental.
