Approved Exporter Number

For exports to countries that have signed preferential agreements with the European Union, the exporting company can replace the EUR.1 movement certificate with a declaration using a code provided by the Directorate-General of Customs: the Approved Exporter Number. This is a simplified system for proving the preferential origin of goods for shipments exceeding 6,000€.
To apply for the Approved Exporter Number, a set of documents must be submitted concerning the company, the goods, past exports, and forecasts for the current year.
This service is especially useful for companies that regularly export to countries that have preferential agreements with the EU, such as Melilla, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Turkey, and Switzerland. It is also the only acceptable method for proving preferential origin in countries like South Korea.
